Luck Brothers Inc.  was established as a sister corporation of Lake Champlain Development Corporation and has been in operation since 1969.  The family business has grown into a multi-million dollar corporation, specializing in heavy highway and bridge construction.  We have experience in a number of construction applications, water and sewer projects, sewer treatment facilities, water treatment facilities, airport paving, and resurfacing projects, electrical transformers   as dams, concrete abutments, navigational locks, luge and bobsled runs, and formliner concrete walls.  Another area of expertise is landfill construction and closure projects.

 

Luck Brothers, Inc. is a well-rounded general contracting firm with a reputation for excellence.  We draw from an abundant amount of field expertise and strive to complete each job to the total satisfaction of the owners and architects that is within our constraints.  Our geographic location in Northern New York limits our optimum working conditions to nine months out of a given year.  This does not limit work to these nine month, but special conditions must be set forward for winter projects.  We work and bid projects throughout the states of New York, New Hampshire, and Vermont.  Luck Brothers, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.  Our staff consists of three project estimators, four project managers, two New York State licensed professional engineers, and a number of support staff personnel.  Our seasonal work force ranges anywhere from 175 to 215 employees.  We have a full time occupational safety professional readily available consultation on safety and health concerns.

  Luck Brothers has one of the largest equipment fleets in northern New York, ranging from excavators, dozers, loaders and cranes to heavy material haulers.  All of our equipment maintenance is done in-house and we have a roving service vehicle that maintains the equipment.  Luck Brothers, Inc. is fully bonded and fully insured.  We are extremely proud of our low workman's compensation rates, which are well below the industry standard.  This fact alone shows that we actively strive for a safe working environment for our employees and will never expect them to jeopardize their health and well being while under our employment.  Luck Brothers is a drug free company, with random testing being conducted throughout the company hierarchy.  We take pride in the fact that our employee turnover rate is less than five percent.
